Andy Wagner, Process Engineer, BCA Future Production System at Boeing – Machinery of Innovation
Recent years have shown how important supply chains and manufacturing are to our daily lives. Even great products can fail if production has problems—delays keep customers waiting, and poor-quality hurts trust. As companies rethink their strategies and focus more on manufacturing, we must look at how we create and deliver value. This year’s Lean Product & Process Development Exchange North America will explore the key role of Process Development.
Andy Wagner has been a student of aerospace production systems for his entire career, striving to understand their technical, business, and human aspects, and how the unique aerospace context influences their performance. A sponge for ideas in this domain, Andy is continually testing approaches against the lens of his current and past work to find novel and hybrid solutions to persistent problems.

Siego de Sitter, Interim Manager and Consultant at CRAFT Lean Management – Back to the Basics, Lean NPD for Scale Ups
In this presentation, Siego reflects on his experience with Lean Product and Process Development (LPPD). Drawing on his work as an interim manager, trainer, and consultant—primarily with medium-sized businesses—he shares key observations, recurring patterns, and practical insights from the field. He explores how the sources of waste change as a company moves through different stages of its lifecycle and how new forms of inefficiency emerge with growth. He also addresses the challenge of driving successful organizational change and explains how Lean operates at a meta-level to enable sustainable transformation. His conclusion is that the foundational principles of Lean Product and Process Development remain just as relevant today as they were 20 years ago.
Siego de Sitter has over 30 years of experience in the manufacturing industry. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and began his career in the aerospace sector, later expanding into consumer products. Throughout his career, he has been involved in numerous projects and product launches.
Siego has worked both as a project manager and a line manager, giving him a well-rounded perspective on product development and organizational dynamics. Since 2005, he has been deeply engaged in Lean, applying a wide range of principles and methodologies in practice.
In 2013, he developed a unique training program that helps him stay closely connected to the real-world challenges companies face. He has a strong interest in identifying recurring patterns in these challenges and has developed a keen sense for how improvement methodologies can be effectively implemented.
Since 2021, Siego has been working as a freelance consultant on various assignments in the machinery sector. He is currently focused on streamlining product development processes at an electric bicycle manufacturer.
